Ride.
Remember.
Honor.
OUR MISSION
FLAGBRAI is a project of Veteran Flagpole Initiative (VFI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring veterans in a lasting and meaningful way.
Each year during RAGBRAI, we identify veterans who live along the cycling route and work with volunteers, communities, and supporters to install permanent flagpoles at their homes.
A flagpole in a veteran’s yard is a simple gesture—but it carries a powerful message. It is a lasting reminder that their service and sacrifice have not been forgotten.
We believe a flagpole is a small token of appreciation for someone who gave so much more.
FLAGBRAI is powered by people who believe our veterans deserve to be recognized and remembered. We are always looking for funding, logistical support, volunteers, and community partners to help us reach more veterans along the RAGBRAI route.
Ride with us. Help us honor them.
GET INVOLVED.
HONOR A VETERAN.
Want to ride with FLAGBRAI, help install flags along the route, sponsor the effort, or learn more? Send us a message and we'll get back to you.
